Daily Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrival in Xi’an

Morning / Afternoon:

Arrive in Xi’an by flight or high-speed train. Private transfer to your hotel.

Evening:

Free time to explore the ancient city or rest after your journey.

Visit the world-famous Terracotta Warriors Museum, exploring the legacy of Emperor Qin Shi Huang.

Afternoon:

Depart for the Zhongnan Mountains, a sacred place for Taoist cultivation. Upon arrival, check into a hot spring resort hotel specially equipped for international guests.

Afternoon:

Begin the first Taoist cultivation session — an introduction to Zhongnan hermit traditions and the philosophy of Taoism, exploring its emphasis on harmony with nature and inner stillness.

Evening:

Enjoy a peaceful vegetarian dinner and relax in the hot springs under the mountain stars.


Early Morning (6:00):

Climb the mountain to witness the sunrise, practicing Taoist breathing and energy-gathering techniques known as Daoyin and Qi cultivation.

Morning:

Return to the retreat for a vegetarian breakfast, followed by a Fragrance Ceremony Course, discovering the art and symbolism of Taoist incense culture.

Late Morning:

Meditation and breathing practice (Jingzuo) for focus and tranquility.

Afternoon:

Enjoy a light lunch, then attend a lecture on Taoist mountain dwelling and the “Harmony of Heaven and Humanity” health philosophy.

Evening (19:00):

Join an evening Taoist movement and energy-flow class led by a local master.

Early Morning (6:00):

Mountain-standing and Daoyin stretching practice.

Morning:

Have breakfast, then experience Guqin (ancient zither) music — learning about the role of sound and silence in Taoist meditation.

Late Morning:

Continue gentle movement and stretching exercises to balance body and mind.

Afternoon:

Practice Sutra Copying (Scripture Writing) as a form of mindfulness and cultural immersion. After lunch, participate in a Tea Meditation session (悟茶), where reflection and conversation blend with the essence of tea.
